Mr. P R (Phil) May, a British who was in Ceylon. From 1910-1950 as a planter in down south. A right arm fast bowler , who played for Cambridge, MCC and Surrey .

Hockey Inter house tournament was held in which nine teams participated. The teams were named after eight Colombo vice patrons and the vice president. Ferdinands House won the Shield,, which was presented by the President.
